Personal Gender Pronouns
Just as we use chosen names for people in our lives, we can learn and use the correct pronouns for everyone. In the English language, the word "he" refers to males, and "she" refer to females. But, some people identify with no gender or identify with both genders. It is important to make it easier for people to be referred to by pronouns of their choice.
Bow Valley College wants to create a gender-inclusive academic, living, and work environment by encouraging students, faculty, and staff to share their pronouns.
