23rd Annual Premier's Scholarship Luncheon - Gold Sponsors

Thank you to our 23rd Annual Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon Gold Sponsors

We heartily thank AltaLink and TransAlta Corporation, Gold Sponsors of the 23rd Annual Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon at Bow Valley College on May 11.

Your tremendous support and commitment were instrumental in making this another resoundingly successful event.

This year, AltaLink, Alberta’s largest regulated electricity transmission company, stepped up its sponsorship to Gold, after several years of Silver Sponsorship. The company is also the donor for the AltaLink Centennial Scholarship, which recognizes a full-time student from rural Alberta, who has achieved academically and demonstrates leadership qualities.

“AltaLink is pleased to once again play a role in helping learners at Bow Valley College succeed in school and in their life,” says Scott Thon, President of AltaLink, past Bow Valley College Board of Governors Chair, and Honourary Co-Chair of the Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon. “By supporting these great students, we are investing in making Calgary and Alberta a stronger community.”

This is TransAlta’s first year as a Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon sponsor. We welcome them into our community of supporters. TransAlta is Canada’s largest clean energy provider.

“TransAlta recognizes the contributions that Bow Valley College learners make to a vibrant and diverse Alberta economy,” says Dawn Farrell, President and CEO. “We see our support of these exceptional learners as playing a part in helping them achieve academically and in their careers, which has a long-term impact on our communities.”

Bow Valley College learners appreciate the support of these community-oriented corporations.

"To think that people who do not know me, have put their trust on me really, really encourages me even more to reach my dreams and goals,” says Premier Scholarship recipient, Karen Cobos Rodriguez. “Thank you for supporting and making possible my educational journey.”

Thank you to AltaLink and TransAlta for their support for the Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon and Bow Valley College learners. You make the difference.
