The Success Advisor can help make a plan to access resources and services related to any or all of the following:
- Physical, Health/Medical (learning difficulty, disability, vision, hearing, mobility, doctor, dentist)
- Emotional, Spiritual (safety, bullying, suicide, mental, anxiety, substance abuse, wellness questions, health referral)
- Social, Environmental, Domestic (child care, feeding, shelter, personal, clothing, services around Calgary)
- Financial (Tax, Income support, bursary, transit, student aid/loan)
- Learning, Academic, Career (classroom problems, switching programs, career/future goals, absences, lateness, academic performance/participation)
Learners can and should talk to the Success Advisor whenever they feel they need assistance, but we know that reaching out earlier is better. We are here to help as soon as learners start to feel like they might need resources in any of the areas outlined above.
