Stories of the Queer Experience: Reimagined

Monday, February 6, 2023 | 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. | Hybrid (register here) or in-person: Esmail and Safana Bharwani Hall, N231

“I think this world could use a little more empathy. I don’t think we’re going to be like, ‘Ah, there’s too much empathy’… Empathy? I think we could use a lot more empathy, no matter your political stripe, no matter your sexuality.” – Scott Fee, Actor & Former News Anchor

Through the lens of stories, we are given a window into the lives and experiences of others. This window allows us to experience more empathy, especially for marginalized communities. For this upcoming Pride Week, we invite you to listen to stories of the queer experience from different lenses and walks of life. These stories will be followed by some reflection, delving into the major takeaways and lessons we can learn from these stories.

May include triggering language or mentions of suicide, discrimination and other sensitive content.
