Find the information you need about printing, copying, and scanning.

You need to purchase a pay for print card from the circulation desk to print, photocopy, or scan at the library. Printing and photocopying cost $0.05 per side. Double-sided printing and photocopying cost $0.10 per page. Scanning is free of charge, but you need to have a pay for print card and a USB drive in order to scan.

Payment methods include cash, debit, or credit card. The minimum deposit is $1 and the maximum deposit is $20.

Please note that the library cannot issue refunds for lost, stolen, or misused pay for print cards.

  1. Print your document from a computer station.
  2. Enter the number on your print card in the box that pops up. Press "OK."
  3. Go to the printer and swipe your printing card.
  4. Press "Print All" or select the item you want to print one-by-one on the left side.

  3. There are two ways to photocopy:
    • Place stack of paper on top of the photocopy feed lengthwise, facing up. Pages must be flat or it will jam
    • OR
    • Place pages one-by-one on the top left corner of the glass.
  4. Change photocopy settings if needed.
  5. Press "Start" button to print.

  • Do not use the top feeder if the document is bent or creased because this will cause a paper jam. Place it directly on the screen underneath instead.
  • To print multiple copies, select the number of copies you need using the buttons on the printer screen.
  • To make two-sided copies, select "Duplex/Combine" on the printer screen and choose "2-sided."

To reduce printing costs, try these tips and tricks:

  • Use the "Print preview" feature to double-check the length and format of the document.
  • Edit the document on the computer and print only the final version.
  • For PowerPoint documents, select "Print" and click "Full page slides," then select the number of slides you want to print per page. You can print up to nine slides in one page.
  • Avoid printing web pages. Copy the text needed from the website, paste into a Microsoft Word document, and print only that document.
  • Print at home if possible.
  • Save documents on a USB drive or email them to yourself to read on your computer, e-reader, or other portable electronic device.
