The interlibrary loan and document delivery services allow learners, staff, and faculty of Bow Valley College to request articles not available in our collections from other libraries. The library also accepts requests for materials from other libraries.
Learners, staff, and faculty of Bow Valley College may request items through one of the following methods:
In-person:
Fill out and submit an interlibrary loan or document delivery request form at the main circulation desk in the LLC.
Online:
The TAL online catalogue allows users to request interlibrary loans online. To request an item through the TAL catalogue, you need to:
- Search the catalogue
- Open the title you would like to request
- Click the "Request Item" button on the right side of the screen
- Choose "Bow Valley College Library" as your library from the drop-down menu and click "Select"
- Enter your barcode (library username) and PIN
- Click "Place Request"
Libraries are welcome to request materials from our collection. Our library does not lend reference, reserve, or audiovisual materials through interlibrary loan. Requests may be submitted using the following online forms:
The loan period for libraries is five weeks inclusive of shipping and delivery time. This gives the patron of the requesting library a loan period of approximately three weeks. Renewals are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at least two business days prior to the due date to request a renewal.
Charges apply for late, damaged, or lost items.
