How do I register for New Student Orientation?
If you are a new student you will receive an invitation email to attend our virtual New Student Orientation event. Check your MyBVC email to register.
If you have not already created your MyBVC account, you will find your username and a link to create a password in your acceptance email. If you do not have your username or password, click on “I forgot my password” on the login page and follow the instructions. If you need additional support, contact the ITS Service Desk for assistance at servicedesk@bowvalleycollege.ca or call 1-866-615-8923 toll free.
Where do I go if I need help with anything as I start school?
Being a new student can be overwhelming and you may have a lot of questions. Our Learner Success Advisors can answer your questions and work with you to create an individualized success plan that could help you with transitioning. Book an appointment with a Learner Success Advisor or email success@bowvalleycollege.ca to access support.

When and where can I get my student ID card?
Students must show a student photo ID card to enter campus. It is important that you have an active student ID card with your photo before September 2024 You can request a photo ID card from Registrar Services by uploading a photo of yourself and a piece of government-issued photo ID through our secure online form (your MyBVC log-in is required to use the form).
When will I receive my timetable?
Some timetables are available on MyBVC.ca. After logging into your account, go to the “Registration” tab and click on “Schedule”. Then, find the first day of class, Sept 3, 2024 and you will see your classes and schedule if available.

How and where do I get a locker?
Locker rentals can be booked through our secure rental website. Lockers are available on a first come, first served basis (one locker per person). Please note that lockers will be required to be emptied for cleaning at the end of each semester. Lockers are available in both North Campus (first to seventh floor) and South Campus (third to fifth floor).
Where can I buy my textbooks?
You can order your textbooks online at the bookstore website. You can also visit our bookstore on campus (South Campus, first floor) which is open Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Where is the library and when is it open?
The RGO Library and Learning Commons is located on the first and second floor of North Campus. Visit the library’s website to find more information about library services and the hours of operation.
Where can I go for technology support?
For help with your myBVC username and password, email servicedesk@bowvalleycollege.ca or call 1-866-615-8923 toll free.
For help with D2L Brightspace, Microsoft Office (e.g., MS Teams), or educational technology questions, refer to Technology Services webpage.
How do I book an appointment with a Counsellor or Accessibility Advisor?
Counselling Services is available to help learners with personal, emotional, or interpersonal problems that might affect academic or personal success. Call 403-410-1440 or email counselling@bowvalleycollege.ca to book an appointment.
Accessibility Advisors provide support to learners with disabilities. If you have a disability, or if you think that you have a disability, Accessibility Advisors can help with academic accommodations, referrals for assessments, and grant funding applications. If you need assistance, book an appointment with an Accessibility Advisor or email accessibility@bowvalleycollege.ca.
How do I find a tutor?
The library provides Peer Tutoring Services. For information about the Peer Tutoring Services through the library, please click here.
Your department may also offer tutoring services, so please check with your instructor(s) or program chair.
How do I pay my fees?
There are several ways to pay your tuition and fees. Find more information about different payment methods and choose one that works for you.

If you need information about how to apply for a student loan or need help with your application, book an appointment with a Student Loan Advisor or email financialaid@bowvalleycollege.ca with your questions.
Where do I go to find out about awards?
Visit the Awards Portal to learn about available internal scholarship/award opportunities. Use your MyBVC.ca login to create your profile and apply for bursaries and scholarships before you start school. Review the deadline dates and selection criteria first, then complete the online application.
