Bow Valley College Transcripts
An official transcript is a detailed record containing a summary of students’ academic activities at Bow Valley College, including a listing of all courses and grades received. The official transcript is certified and bears the signature of Bow Valley College’s Dean of Enrolment Management and Registrar. Bow Valley College produces its official transcript in an electronic format.
Please refer to Official Bow Valley College Transcript Key for institutional transcript legend which provides information for understanding college transcripts.
It is the responsibility of the learner to ensure that all final grades are entered on the transcript request.
Official graduation transcripts will be issued automatically within 2 business days following the conferral date. Transcripts ordered prior to your conferral date will not show proof of your credential or award date and may not meet requirements for licensing bodies or Government applications (e.g., IRCC, CLPNA, CCSC etc.).
Secured Electronic Transcripts
Bow Valley College issues secured electronic transcripts with a national online portal called MyCreds – an online credential wallet that contains official documents and credentials that you have received from your institution. MyCreds.ca is a secure online service that allows colleges and universities to issue secure digital records online so that you can access your records and share them with third parties (like other post-secondary institutions for admission applications or future employers). The college is no longer printing and mailing official sealed paper transcripts to learners or any other recipients.
Digital transcripts issued through MyCreds™ are certified and official, and can be securely provided to educational institutions, employers, and other organizations.
To learn more about how MyCreds.ca works, please visit their website and explore the FAQs or check out this short introductory video. Also be sure to check out the MyCreds YouTube channel for a series of How-To videos that can help you understand different functions of your credential wallet.
How to request an official Bow Valley College transcript
IMPORTANT: Official transcripts should only be requested if you need to download or share outside of Bow Valley College.
Official transcripts will be issued automatically to each learner once official graduation from a post-secondary program has been confirmed. These should not be requested separately through the MyCreds platform.
Please ensure your information and personal email address are correct before submitting your request.
- Current Students with access to your MyBVC account:
Log into the MyBVC portal. Under Student Information click on Official Transcript Request.
- Alumni and former learners:
Complete the Request for Official Transcripts form and email the completed form to records@bowvalleycollege.ca.
When your digital transcript is ready to access, you will receive an email confirmation from MyCreds to your personal email account.
Once you log into MyCreds.ca, you can share a link with other post-secondary institutions, employers, or whomever you choose to view your official document. The people you share your documents with via MyCreds.ca are called Share Recipients. Your share recipients will be able to click on the link you share with them and view your verified document. Please note that the share recipient will not be able to access your transcript unless you share it with them in your MyCreds account.
If you have previously created MyCreds account using your MyBVC email address, or a personal email account different from the one you provided to the College now, please make sure to add the new personal email account to your Profile Settings under your existing MyCreds account. Please review page 3 of the instructions document below for details on how to do that. This will allow you to access the document that was issued to your personal email account within your existing MyCreds account.
For more information about how to use MyCreds platform to access, share or download your official documents, please refer to the Retrieving MyCreds Documents Tips Sheet.

Payment
Official transcripts will not be issued if there are outstanding financial obligations to Bow Valley College.
Payments will be required for each document share with the share recipient(s) of your choice, or when you download the document in PDF file format. MyCreds uses Stripe for processing a payment. You will receive a receipt from MyCreds only when the payment is processed successfully. It is your responsibility to check the document for errors prior to downloading or sharing it. No refunds are issued after a transcript is downloaded or shared.
If there is an error on your document when you view it (and prior to downloading or sharing), please email records@bowvalleycollege.ca The records department will review your request and upload the corrected document. You will be able to use the share credit you purchased to view the document going forward. You can continue to purchase additional share credits for that document if required.
