  • Open Studies Regional – Winter 2022
    Program Description
    This Open Studies program will provide regional learners access to a selection of Bow Valley College post-secondary credit courses without requiring admission or commitment to one of the College's post-secondary programs. The courses offered align with programs at the College. For more details on the courses, see the course outlines.
    Winter 2022:
    HRES1101 – Organizational Behaviour
    MGMT1101 – Introduction to Management
    MKTG1101 – Introduction to Marketing
    Spring/Summer 2022:
    ENGL1201 – English Composition
    PSYC1101 – Introduction to Psychology
    MKTG1101 – Introduction to Marketing
    Delivery Method 
    Courses are delivered through a mixed delivery mode where learning activities take place through a blend of scheduled in-class and scheduled or non-scheduled online delivery methods. Learners are required to participate in scheduled learning activities. Scheduled exams may be required.
    How to Apply
    Priority will be given to regional residents within the Bow Valley College regional service area.

    Canadian Language Benchmark Testing

    Bow Valley College partners with ILVARC and the Government of Canada to offer Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) testing at the Strathmore Campus.

    Continuing Learning

    Continuing Learning at Bow Valley College generally provides advanced competencies and/or certification in selected topics such as computer applications and programming, business and management, and health and wellness.     Online Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR)

    Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) for Health Care Providers
    Learn how to save lives with this course that is required/recommended by many employers and for many health care program clinical placements.
    A blended learning delivery method allows you to complete your online learning at home, followed by your hands-on skills practice and evaluation at the Strathmore campus. 

    BLS 120 (full): $115.00 + GST
    BLS 90 (renewal): $85.00 + GST
