All students are expected to write final examinations at the scheduled dates/times. Missed exams receive an automatic zero in all circumstances EXCEPT personal illness or injury, bereavement, or unanticipated demands related to caring for a dependent. Supporting documentation will be required for department approval of an exam deferral.
Learners can request an exam to be rescheduled only if there is documented evidence to support the
claim that they are unable to attend the scheduled exam through reasons outside of the learner’s control. Supporting documentation will be required for department approval of an exam deferral.

If you are taking online courses, then you can write the final exam at an approved invigilation site outside of Calgary.

An acceptable exam supervisor will be an independent, objective third-party individual who is willing to
administer and supervise these tests. Acceptable invigilation sites include educational institutions such as colleges and universities, or community libraries that offer proctoring services. Supervisors may not be related to or be a personal friend of the learner. Any costs are the learner’s responsibility. Learners are also responsible for ensuring that the test facility has a computer to complete the exam as well as all required software.
