Program Description
In our LINC classes, you'll focus on listening and speaking or reading and writing. With the part-time schedule, you can maintain work and family commitments outside of your studies.
You’ll develop English language skills for daily life and work through topics such as workplace, community, culture, healthy living, transportation, and leisure. You can choose from:

Admission Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Permanent resident or Convention refugee status
- LINC referral to Bow Valley College with current CLBs
- Minimum CLB 3 in all skills
- 10 or more years of formal education
LINC applicants must first take a CLB test at the Calgary Language Assessment & Referral Centre (CLARC). The telephone number for CLARC is 403-262-2656.

With the Part-time schedule, you can maintain work and family commitments outside of your studies. You can take morning (9:30 am -12:30 pm) or evening classes (6:00 pm-9:00 pm).
The Part-time LINC program is at minimum a two-term program for each CLB Level. It is expected that students will study for two (2) terms or more at the same level before achieving the next benchmark.
You don’t have to take both courses. You can apply for the course and schedule that fits your needs.
