Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees may apply for a LINC seat as of LINC Application Day on October 25, 2023. You can also attend LINC Application Day to apply in-person from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In our LINC classes, you'll focus on listening and speaking or reading and writing. With the part-time schedule, you can maintain work and family commitments outside of your studies.
You’ll develop English language skills for daily life and work through topics such as workplace, community, culture, healthy living, transportation, and leisure. You can choose from:
LINC Reading, Writing, and Grammar
|Level 4: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday||9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.|
|Level 5 & 6: Monday and Wednesday||9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.|
|Level 4, 5 & 6: Monday and Wednesday||6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.|
LINC Listening and Speaking
|Tuesday and Friday||9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.|
|Tuesday and Thursday||6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.|
Reading and Writing classes are offered from CLB 4 to CLB 6. Listening and Speaking classes are offered from CLB 4 to CLB 7.
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Permanent resident or Convention refugee status
- LINC referral to Bow Valley College with current CLBs
- Minimum CLB 3 in all skills
- 10 or more years of formal education

You don’t have to take both courses. You can apply for the course and schedule that fits your needs.
