2023 Convocation includes first-time participation for students in two programs
Bow Valley College’s upcoming Spring 2023 Convocation, to be held on June 21 and 22 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, will mark a first for students in the School of Global Access and the School of Foundational Learning.
Last fall, it was announced that students in both programs would be able to walk across the stage for the first time in College history.
“These students deserve to see their friends and family cheering them on as they complete their valuable social and educational achievements,” says President Misheck Mwaba.
The School of Global Access provides learning resources in English language learning, workplace development and intercultural competence for learners from around the world who seek to acquire the skills needed to live, study and work in Canada.
For learners looking to further their education or career, The School of Foundational Learning offers flexible program options in adult basic education, high school upgrading, Indigenous Foundational Learnings and pathways to careers.
The addition of students in convocation celebrations embodies the College’s mission to make all learning count and reinforces one of the College’s core values of inclusion.
Congratulations to all of the students walking the stage in this momentous occasion.
