A Message From Dave Collyer Chair, Board Of Governors
On behalf of the Board of Governors and Executive Team of Bow Valley College, I wanted to let you know that Laura Jo Gunter has submitted her resignation as President and CEO of Bow Valley College, effective August 23, 2020. Ms. Gunter is leaving Bow Valley College to become the President and CEO of NAIT in Edmonton on August 24, 2020. We all wish to express our appreciation for the many contributions she has made since joining the College in January 2017, and in wishing her all the best in her new role.
Leadership changes are never easy, but the College is on solid footing - we have a robust strategy and plan in place, strong operational performance, a positive relationship with our stakeholders and the Government of Alberta, and a very effective Board and Executive Team. We are confident that we can collectively provide the necessary continuity until a new President and CEO is in place.
We will be initiating a comprehensive recruitment process immediately, and we welcome any input you may wish to provide regarding the profile for the new President and CEO of the College.
The Board of Governors is confident that the great work of the college will carry on thanks to the efforts and dedication of our employees. These are challenging times in general as we all know, but the Board of Governors and our partners and supporters know how strong and deep the Bow Valley College team is, and we all look forward to continued success in supporting our students and our community as we move ahead.
