Vaccine protocols at Bow Valley College campuses
With the health and safety of our College community a top priority, Bow Valley College will move forward with our plans to require COVID-19 vaccinations to enter our campuses. Everyone who comes to our campuses will need to be fully vaccinated by October 22, 2021.
Read our COVID-19 Policy and Procedure.
Starting September 27, all classes will resume as scheduled. The College will re-open for students and approved employees to come to campus. Employees who have been asked to work from home must continue to do so. We are still closed to the general public until further notice.
Anyone accessing campus after October 22 will require:
Campus Security will be using the AB Covid Records Verifier app to expedite the verification and campus re-entry process. However, other forms of Government of Alberta-issued proof of vaccination will continue to be accepted until November 15, 2021. For information on how to obtain and provide proof of vaccination, including information related to vaccinations that were received outside of Alberta, please visit the proof of vaccination page.
Vaccine requirements for entering the College
As of October 22:
- You must be fully vaccinated with all required doses and have your vaccine card to enter our campuses.
- Rapid testing will no longer be offered.
- A negative test result will not be accepted.
- Mandatory mask procedures must be followed at all times.
- Physical distancing will be required in the library and all common areas. Physical distancing will not be required in labs and classrooms.
- Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home.
We ask that you be patient with our employees and campus security as they check vaccine cards and IDs at our campus doors. Bow Valley College is working on a longer-term solution, which we will announce soon.
