Bow Valley College takes your safety seriously and we are constantly assessing our protocols as COVID-19 information becomes available. We ask for your patience as we adapt our College plans as needed to changing situations.

COVID-19 protocols at Bow Valley College campuses
Effective October 22, anyone accessing campus must be fully vaccinated. We will not be accepting rapid tests. For information on the vaccine requirements needed to access Bow Valley College campuses, please see the vaccine information page.
FAQs related to positive COVID-19 cases
- We ask that you self-assess your symptoms before coming to College campuses. If you are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 infection or any other contagious illnesses, please stay home to reduce the chance of spread.
- Follow all guidelines provided by Alberta Health Services.

Please email the COVID inbox at covidinfo@bowvalleycollege.cawith the following information as soon as you receive a positive COVID test.
You will be asked to provide:
- Name
- Student ID
- Date you received a positive test result
- Date you were last on campus
- Did you feel sick while you were on campus
- Places you visited on campus
Someone from Learner Success Services will contact you to confirm details, to gather any additional information, and clarify as required. LSS will also offer you resource information to support any potential mental-health needs throughout the situation.

FAQs related to classes and course delivery
Online options may be available for some courses. Please see MyBVC for your course options and delivery modes. Please contact Academic Advising (advising@bowvalleycollege.ca or 403-410-3456) to change your registrations for the Winter term. Changes will be subject to course/seat availability. For any questions related to your schedule and your courses for the Winter term please contact advising@bowvalleycollege.ca
If you are currently scheduled for in-person courses your classes will be temporarily moved online and delivered through MS Teams. You do not need to make any changes to your schedule.

As of January 10, 2022, and until at least February 13, 2022, all classes with the exception of health program labs are operating with online-only delivery. We will continue to update you on any changes related to class delivery. Until at least February 13 at 7 p.m., access to campus will be limited to learners in health program labs, who have appointments booked with learner services or academic advising, and approved employees. Employees who have been asked to work from home must continue to do so. We are still closed to the general public until further notice.

- Please contact Learner Success Services for information about how to access services including counselling, Learner Success Advisors (RISE Program), financial aid or awards support, Career Services, Accessibility Services, Iniikokaan Centre, Academic Success Centre, the Library and Learning Commons, and other support.
- Learner Success Services are being delivered on campus and online. In-person services are by appointment only until at least February 11, 2022. Hours of operation will be 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
- We understand that this may be stressful. Learner Success Services counsellors are available to help you. Video and telephone appointments can be booked by emailing counselling@bowvalleycollege.ca.
- Any in-person services are by appointment only until at least February 13, 2022.
- Learner Success Services are being delivered on campus and online.
