Applicants are responsible for providing Bow Valley College with accurate and complete transcripts for their previous education. Your application will be delayed if you do not provide the required transcripts or proof of enrolment.

My transcripts are from… Here's what do to:
Alberta When applying through ApplyAlberta, you will authorise Bow Valley College to access transcripts from most Alberta public high schools, colleges, universities, or polytechnics.

For schools not on the ApplyAlberta system, follow the instructions for Canadian transcripts below.

If you are currently enrolled in courses, you must request a Proof of Enrolment from the school(s) you are attending. See the instructions below. Only final grades are available on ApplyAlberta.
Canada (outside Alberta) Canadian transcripts must come directly to Bow Valley College by mail from the issuing school (i.e. high school, school board, college, or university). You should contact the previous school(s) you have attended in Canada and ask them to mail an official transcript to us at:

Bow Valley College
Office of the Registrar
345 6 Avenue SE
Calgary AB  T2G 4V1

We do not accept emailed transcripts, faxed transcripts, or opened transcripts from applicants.

If you are currently enrolled in courses, you must request a Proof of Enrolment from the school(s) you are attending. See the instructions below.

Outside Canada (international) For transcripts from outside Canada, applicants must present their official (original) transcripts and one photocopy (of all pages and all sides) to the Office of the Registrar. The college will verify the photocopy against the original transcript and keep the photocopy.

Transcripts which are not in English must be accompanied by a notarised translation to English.

As some international transcripts are irreplaceable, we do not recommend submitting official international transcripts by mail, as they may not be returned to the applicant.

Proof of enrolment
If you are currently enrolled in courses, these courses may not appear on your official transcript. Request the school you are attending to email (admissions@bowvalleycollege.ca) or mail a proof of enrolment to Bow Valley College which includes:

  • The name of the school issuing the proof of enrolment;
  • the student's full name;
  • the courses you are enrolled in (including course names and codes);
  • the start and end dates of the courses, or the date of the test for English proficiency testing; and
  • for applicants to the Pharmacy Technician Diploma, the expected high school graduation date.

Email submission is only accepted for proof of enrolment, not for official transcripts.

Learners with disabilities

Learners requiring academic accommodations must contact the Learner Success Services at least four months prior to the commencement of their scheduled classes at Bow Valley College to establish an academic accommodation plan.

Reasonable effort will be made to provide suitable academic accommodation; however, there is no guarantee that services will be available and it is possible that start dates may have to be deferred in order to provide required accommodation. While the College will attempt to facilitate all learner requests for accommodation, there is a current shortage of sign language interpreters
