Did you know that every member of the Bow Valley College community has access to a confidential, independent hotline for reporting concerns?

Through ConfidenceLine, employees, students, and alumni can submit reports 24 hours a day by phone or through an online form. In both cases, you can choose to remain anonymous to the College.

ConfidenceLine will receive reports on issues such as safety or security concerns, harassment, ethics violations, workplace violence, fraud or theft, falsification of company records, and malicious damage.

Bow Valley College encourages students to report their concerns to their program chair or dean, and for employees to bring matters to People & Culture. However, the College recognizes that there are situations where employees and students may feel uncomfortable reporting sensitive issues through these channels. The ConfidenceLine communications service is available to ensure all students and all employees can submit confidential reports without fear of personal or professional reprisal.

At Bow Valley College, we are committed to maintaining a College culture that is safe, ethical, legal, respectful, professional, and inclusive. This is reflected in our Respectful Workplace Policy and Procedure, and our Protected Disclosure Policy and Procedure.

You can speak to a ConfidenceLine agent by calling 1-800-661-9675. A qualified agent will be available 365 days per year and 24 hours a day and will take your report over the phone. You can also report through an online form accessible through ConfidenceLine. The secure web application will ask you general questions about your concern to create a report. In both cases, you can remain anonymous to the College if that is what you would prefer.

If you have any questions about the Respectful Workplace Policy, please contact People & Culture. If you need ConfidenceLine support, please call 1-800-661-9675.

Bow Valley College understands that there are situations where employees and students may feel uncomfortable reporting concerns through official channels. By using ConfidenceLine employees and students can confidentially and anonymously report sensitive College issues without fear of personal or professional reprisal.

ConfidenceLine can be accessed one of two ways:

By phone at 1-800-661-9675 (365 days a year, 24 hours a day), or online at the ConfidenceLine website.

After receiving a report, ConfidenceLine will share the anonymous report with either the Vice-President, People, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, or the Vice-President, Corporate Services & CIO, depending on the type of issue that is raised in the report.
Five days following the submission of your report, you may follow up with ConfidenceLine to confirm your report has been shared with Bow Valley College Executive.

All full-time and part-time Bow Valley College employees, contractors, and temporary staff, as well as students, and other stakeholders can make reports through ConfidenceLine.
